Płock
Płock is situated in central Poland, a 90-minute drive from the capital of Poland, Warsaw. It has very good transportation links to the largest cities in the country. The city has an interesting history, numerous tourist attractions and very low costs of living also.
Płock is an important academic center. Pawel Wlodkowic University College in Płock is the largest higher school in Płock.
Its extensive base is conveniently located in the city center. Its densely built-up facilities have a floor area of over 30,000 square meters. Neat lecture rooms, sports and recreation facilities and an academic library ensuring highly comfortable studying. The University also possesses a modern student hostel.
Student hostel
The student hostel of PWUC is a modern building complex situated in the city center. Being located in a quiet neighborhood, the hostel provides comfortable conditions for study and relaxation. The fact that the campus is in the vicinity of the University is another advantage.
Each room is equipped with a stationary phone and an Internet connection. Practical and modern equipment provides students with excellent conditions for study.
There is a club in the building's basement. This complex also consists of: a car park, a recreational area suitable for holding outdoor events. The building is equipped with a 24/7 security-monitoring system and has been adapted to the requirements of special-needs students.
Library
The library's resources have been cataloged both traditionally and digitally. There is a traditional reading room on the ground floor and there are computer stations with Internet access on the first floor. The books are thematically organized, according to the faculties and specializations offered by the University, their base being systematically updated and expanded. The Library subscribes to Polish and foreign magazines.
The Library's catalogs also include electronic and multimedia publications. The Library's resources, along with other useful information, have been placed on our website (www.wlodkowic.pl). Moreover, the Library has been equipped with a computer and a photocopier, allowing students to prepare, print and copy their diploma projects.
Under an agreement on co-financing its book collection, the University cooperates closely with the Zielinski Library, owned by the Płock Learned Society, which is one of the oldest societies in Poland.
Sports and Recreation Center
The Sports and Recreation Center is a modern building complex which comprises: a sports hall, gymnasium, a tennis court, two saunas, equipment for water and traditional massage, a biological regeneration room, a solarium and a cafeteria.
The Center is a spacious and multi-purpose building, equipped with apparatus produced by leading companies. Classes are conducted by a specialist team of instructors and coaches. Various sports, recreation and rehabilitation events are held on the Center's premises. This complex has been adapted to the requirements of special-needs students.
